Top and Skirt : Ni Hao Fashion

Cage Heels : Steve Madden (also styled here)
Style has always played a crucial role in cinema. From Holly Golightly’s iconic look in Breakfast at Tiffany’s to Daisy’s all white ensembles in The Great Gatsby, costume design has shaped characters and added depth and intensity. For me, my favourite style moment on the silver screen is the library scene from Atonement- where Cecelia’s cascading emerald gown (in a colour I now refer to as Atonement Green) sets the tone for the night that changed the course of all their lives (for those of you who haven’t read the book or watched the movie- start with the book by Ian McEwan!) When I chanced upon this green pleated skirt at Ni Hao fashion, I was taken back to that library. And of course, I had to have it.
A little bit about the outfit- both the top and the skirt are from Ni Hao fashion, a store that I found out about from my friend Nilu’s posts. They’ve got a sale going on right now with some good bargains, but I picked up this stuff a few months ago. The jacket is a favourite from Promod and theSteve Madden heels are the latest addition to my shoe collection.
