Mumbai Revelations- Street Art & What not

IMG_2551

My trip to Bombay last month led to two discoveries – Kygo and his musical genius and Mumbai’s vibrant street art scene (a friend from Bombay exclaimed that I’d been living under a rock somewhere since I hadn’t been aware of either until recently)

A random stroll off of Hill Road lead me to a street full of colours on crumbling walls and a quaint cafe serving some organic fare ( it was called the Birdsong cafe if I remember correctly)

Back home after some googling and digging I came to know of the st+art foundation – an organization aiming to make our streets more interactive through the medium of urban art festivals across India. The streets that I stumbled upon were part of the month long festival in Mumbai held in November last year.

It was wonderful to see undistinguished roads and crumbling buildings brought to life by these artists and their work.

Some of the artists are – Akacorleone, Gomez and The Bollywood Art Project. You can follow  st+art India here.

I edited all the photos and drafted this post while listening to Kygo, so here’s my favourite mix so far <3
