I’m usually not a light packer- unless I’m going on a trek where I will literally have to carry the weight of my clothing options, I prefer to carry a little bit extra, have a few options for footwear and an array of accessories to choose from. I’m writing this post in Mumbai, where I’ve spent the last week, and this time I’ve packed a little differently. My everyday wardrobe has consisted of three neutral tees, a pair of jeans and sneakers. And this waterfall trench that I picked up from H&M (if you’re looking for something similar, try the links above and simple type ‘trench coat india’ and you should find some viable options after a bit of browsing). This trench has taken all my outfits from ‘too lazy to care’ to ‘celebrity airport chic’ in less than 2 minutes. And, I also wore it to Lakme Fashion Week last Sunday.
The moral of the story- layer.layer.layer. Layering is probably the quickest and easiest route to do minimal chic. And pack light while you’re at it.
